In July, Professor Brett Smith spoke at the Christian Economic Forum’s Global Event in Quebec City about opportunities for integrating faith and entrepreneurship in higher education.

Additionally, the Center for L.I.F.E. sponsored seven undergraduate students from five schools across the world, including Calvin University, Cedarville University, Grove City College, Lipscomb University, and Miami University. The students met and learned from faith-motivated business leaders and investors who are working to address a range of global issues, from AI to food security.

What Students Are Saying

“I can’t find the words to describe the experience. There was a depth of connection, love, and sincerity that I have a difficult time comprehending, even days later. . . . It feels too good to be true, and we reflected that if we tried to describe it to someone, it would sound over-dramaticized or like it wasn’t real. . . . I told the director of CEF [the Christian Economic Forum] that many people get only a few once-in-a-lifetime experiences. But so few of those are this life-changing.”

“Walking into this forum, I expected to leave with pages of notes, but I left with so much more. I left with my spirit renewed and reenergized. CEF offered me the amazing opportunity to meet and connect with high achievers with a higher calling. I greatly enjoyed deepening relations with both students and business leaders from around the globe. The example of humility and generosity is one that I will strive to reflect in both my personal and professional life from this day forward.”

Student attendance at the Christian Economic Forum was made possible in part by generous contributions from Center for L.I.F.E. donors.
